The 11th Nordic Conference in Elementary Swimming Teaching ended today Sunday April 22nd. Hopefully you all had a good trip back home.

Faroese fashion

Those of you who read this newletter from the start, know how important sheeps are to the Faroe Islands. Of course wool is a big part of Faroese fashion. The famous duo Guðrun&Guðrun only use faroese materials in their fashion. The duo is among other thing well know for the “Star-Sweater” from danish television serial “Forbrydelsen”.

170+ participants

What a joy to welcome so many participants to our 11th Nordic Conference in Elementary Swimming Teaching. We are happy to tell you, that everybody on the waitinglist has gotten a place at the conference. As we say in the Faroe Islands: Har tað er hjartarúm, er húsrúm. It roughly translates to: If there is room in your heart, there is room in your home!
This will be the biggest Nordic Conference in Elementary Swimming Teaching ever, and the beautiful Faroe Islands are ready to welcome you to the Experience of a Life Time!

Seven days, that’s all! In seven days we’ll all be gathered in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands! 160+ Participants

The 11th Nordic Conference in Elementary Swimming Teaching is approching fast. Today February 17 we are 62 days from the start of our Conference. The entry lists are now on 160+ participants, both Faroese and non Faroese. We do have participants on waiting list, as we have filled Hotel Føroyar.

We are now working on the last details to make your stay in the Faroe Islands an Experience of a Life Time!

Svimjihøllin í Gundadali

All the pool session will be at the Swimming Pool close by the Nordic House (850m). The Pool was inaugurated in 1982 and has 175,000 visitors every year. In Faroe Islands there are three 25 meter pools, twelve 16 2/3 meter and four pools in odd sizes from 10-16 meter .

Great turnout for the 11th Nordic Conference in Elementary Swimming Teaching


The last day of January we are reaching the limit at the Hotel Føroyar, we might be able to squeeze a couple of participants in still. The number of non-faroese particitants are 120+, and still rising. Thank you very much for your interest.
